Our History
1980 - The Foundation
Unicurd began its journey as one of Singapore’s pioneering tofu manufacturers, establishing our first production facility in Aljunied. We revolutionized the local market by introducing Singapore’s first hygienically packed, pasteurized silken tofu in sealed boxes and tubes – an innovation that became an instant success and set new standards for food safety and quality in the industry.
1982 - Rapid Expansion
Within just two years, our commitment to excellence and growing consumer trust led to unprecedented demand. We expanded operations to a larger facility in Ang Mo Kio, demonstrating our dedication to meeting Singapore’s growing appetite for premium plant-based nutrition.
1996 - Manufacturing Excellence
Our dedication to innovation culminated in the construction of our state-of-the-art 2,700 square meter manufacturing facility in Senoko. This milestone investment of over S$3 million in cutting-edge tofu manufacturing equipment positioned us as Singapore’s most technologically advanced soybean processing company.
2008 - Global Integration
Vitasoy International Holdings Limited recognized our exceptional capabilities and acquired the entire issued share capital of Unicurd in April 2008. As a result, Unicurd becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vitasoy Group, bringing four decades of Singaporean expertise into the global Vitasoy family. This strategic partnership enhanced our ability to serve international markets while maintaining our commitment to local excellence.

Identity Preservation Excellence
Our commitment to non-GMO soybeans goes beyond basic standards. We use Identity Preserved soybeans – contract-planted varieties with tracked DNA profiles, supervised fertilizer and pesticide applications, and controlled harvesting, cleaning, packing, storage, and delivery. Each shipment arrives with complete documentation ensuring the purest grade soybeans.
